Biographical Sketch
Jaynie Parrish, BIS and Certificate in American Indian Justice Studies (Arizona State University), Ms. Parrish is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. For the last 5 years, Ms. Parrish has held the position of Coordinator of Projects & Operations for Native American Affairs in the Office of President at Arizona State University. During her time at ASU she was actively involved with connecting Indigenous communities to the University, student recruitment and retention, as well as overall American Indian program development. She is also an active member of the ASU Native American Alumni Chapter. Prior to ASU she spent two years in Washington, D.C. as the Legislative Associate for the Navajo Nation leading education policy efforts and with National Public Radio in Human Resources. Ms. Parrish has served on the Construction in Indian Country Executive Committee, scholarship committees for Fort McDowell Yavapai Wassaja and the Newton and Betty Rosenzweig - Dr. Peterson Zah Leadership Program. She has presented in the fields of American Indian higher education, Tribal community development, and is looking to complete her masters in Higher Education and Public Policy with a focus on American Indian Education, student success, and services. Ms. Parrish's fellowship assignment is in the John F. Kennedy School of Government Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development.
