MISSION

The Administrative Fellowship Program (AFP) exists to provide exceptional, highly motivated professionals an opportunity to broaden their professional experience through a work and study fellowship program at Harvard.

Under the direction of the Office of the Assistant to the President (OAP) and in cooperation with Harvard’s participating schools and departments, the program seeks to attract talented to Harvard administrative positions while also enriching their personal and professional development. Through the fellowship program, OAP has designed an additional way for the University to engage issues of difference and inclusion while creatively diversifying its administrative workforce and professional community.

To this end, AFP offers program participants a rich administrative work experience complemented by an innovative leadership education and professional development program. At the same time, the program provides sponsors and mentors a unique opportunity to perform and deepen their commitments in nurturing work environments that value diversity throughout the Harvard community.
